Built with uncompromising attention to detail, this wiring harness is designed to get as close as possible to the feel and response of an original late 50s Centralab assembly.
It uses only the finest components available, including hand-selected, low-torque CTS 570k potentiometers, carefully chosen NOS PIO capacitors, 20 AWG bus wire and spaghetti tubing on the capacitor leads for a clean, vintage-correct appearance. The potentiometers are 10% audio taper, offering a smooth and highly usable sweep that reacts naturally to your playing.
In my opinion, this is as close as you can get to an original Burst-era Centralab harness, without having to source and trust decades-old components.
This harness is available with short-shaft potentiometers only.
Please note that each harness is fitted with PIO capacitors that are available at the time of assembly. Currently, I use K40Y, K42Y or Gudeman PIO capacitors. From time to time, special options such as NOS Bumblebee or Vitamin Q capacitors will be offered for an additional charge.
For players seeking a slightly clearer neck response, a lower value capacitor can be selected for the neck tone control.
